Display information¶
Use this page to see what ViziCAL knows about a display: its make and model, its current settings, and how its hardware compares with your display standard. ViziCAL only reads this information. It doesn't change anything on the display.
Steps¶
- In the Displays list, find the display.
- Click the i button on its card.
The Display Information window opens. It may say Reading the display... for a few seconds.
What you'll see¶
- Display: make, model, year of manufacture, screen size, resolution, panel type (where known) and how it's connected.
- Display settings: the display's own settings, such as brightness, contrast, picture mode and colour settings. Each setting shows its value, and whether it's In use or Available but not in use.
- LG settings: extra settings on LG displays.
- Hardware requirements: how the display compares with the requirements of your standard (for example maximum brightness, contrast ratio, size and resolution). Each row shows the Required value, what This display has, and the Result. If your standard doesn't set hardware requirements, ViziCAL compares with the ACR and AAPM TG270 requirements.
Some displays don't report their settings. Laptop screens, and displays connected through some docks or adapters, usually don't.
