Purchases: Web service & billing

Use this page to see whether the web service is on for your organisation, when it renews and roughly what the renewal will cost, and to manage card payments.

Open Purchases → Web service & billing. You need the Customer Admin role.

What the web service is

The web service keeps your workstations' results, reports and visual checks in your web account. It's on or off for your whole organisation. When it's on, every licensed workstation can send its results. When it's off, the ViziCAL app still calibrates and checks displays, but Upload Results isn't available.

What you'll see

  • Web service: On or Off, and since when.
  • Next renewal: the date it renews, and the price per workstation per year.
  • Estimated renewal: roughly what the next renewal will cost, worked out from the workstations using a licence today.
  • Estimated renewal on …: each line of the estimate, any GST, and the Estimated total.
  • Earlier web service periods: web service you had before it became an organisation-wide setting, for example Subscription from the old website or Included with a Connected Kit.

How the yearly charge is worked out

On the renewal date we invoice you for:

  • The coming year: the price per workstation for each workstation using a licence on that date.
  • Workstations added during the year: each workstation that started using a licence during the past year pays for the part of the year it was used. For example, a workstation added three months before the renewal pays for about a quarter of a year.

The first renewal, a year after you switch the web service on, also charges for that first year: each workstation pays for the part of the year it was using a licence.

A workstation counts while its licence is in use on a computer. A licence you've released doesn't count.

The invoice appears in Orders. If you buy through a distributor, they may be invoiced instead.

Click Manage card billing to change your card or see your card payments. It opens a secure billing page.
