ViziCAL Apply¶
ViziCAL Apply is a small program that runs in the Windows notification area, next to the clock. It keeps your displays calibrated when ViziCAL isn't open.
ViziCAL Apply is installed with ViziCAL and starts by itself when you sign in to Windows. You don't need to open it.
What it does¶
- Applies your calibrations to each display when you sign in to Windows, and again when displays are connected or changed.
- Keeps them applied. About every 10 minutes it checks that each display still has its calibration. If another program changed it, ViziCAL Apply puts it back and tells you.
- Runs automatic checks on displays with a built-in photometer (LG and WIDE), on the schedule in Internal Photometer. You see Starting a scheduled automated check, this will only take a minute.. while it measures.
- Reminds you when a calibration or a visual check is due.
- Sends a status update to your web account when Windows starts, if Chirp calibration status to web at login is ticked in Settings → License. See License.
While ViziCAL or ViziProfiler is open, ViziCAL Apply pauses. It starts again when you close them, and applies your calibrations again.

- Exit: close ViziCAL Apply until you next sign in to Windows.
Warning
If you exit ViziCAL Apply, your calibrations aren't checked or put back if something changes them. Leave it running.
The Status window¶
The Status window lists each display with:
- its name and display standard,

When a display's settings change¶
If someone changes a display's own settings (for example its brightness or picture mode), the calibration may no longer be right. ViziCAL Apply shows the Display Settings Changed! window:
- Yes (Reset settings): put the display's settings back as they were at calibration.
- Remind me later: ask again in 14 days.
- Don't ask me again: stop these reminders. You can turn them on again with Notify on changes in display settings in Calibration Settings.
