Save reports and upload results¶
Use this page to make a PDF report of your displays' results, and to send results to your web account.
Save a report¶
- Calibrate or check the displays you want in the report.
- Click Save Report.
ViziCAL makes a PDF of the latest results for every display, with the owner information from Settings → Owner Info. It saves the PDF on the computer and opens it, so you can print it or save a copy elsewhere. The file name includes the workstation name and the calibration date.
You can find every saved report later in History → Previous Reports. See The History tab.
Note
If the report for the same calibration is already open in a PDF viewer, ViziCAL saves the new one with a number added, for example …_2.pdf. If Windows can't open PDFs, ViziCAL tells you where it saved the report.
To copy saved reports to another folder, use Copy Selected in History → Previous Reports.
Upload results to your web account¶
Upload Results sends the latest calibration and check results, with the PDF report, to your web account. It needs the web service to be on for your organisation. See Licensing.
- Click Upload Results.
- Wait until Uploading results... goes away.
Each result is sent only once. If there's nothing new to send, the button isn't available.
In your web account, open Technical → Workstations and choose the workstation to see its displays and results. The report appears under Technical → Reports.
Tip
If you close ViziCAL without uploading, the Results not posted window asks whether to send them first. Click Post to send them, or Exit to close without sending.
Visual check results are sent separately, from the visual check results window. See Run visual checks.
Common problems¶
- ViziCAL says there's no data to report
- Run Start Calibration or Check Calibration on a display first.
- ViziCAL says it couldn't connect to the server
- Check the internet connection and try again. Your results stay on the computer until they're sent.
- Upload Results isn't available
- Either there's nothing new to send, or the web service is off for your organisation. See Web service & billing.
